The MRC is the oldest model railway club in the world – founded in 1910 – and still going strong with over 250 members based around London and beyond. We help to organise the two largest model railway exhibitions in the UK, are building six model railway layouts and have active youth sections too*.
We welcome new members – whether expert modellers, or simply with an interest in the hobby and the breadth in between.
We meet weekly on Thursday evenings at own purpose-built premises, Keen House, situated in central London, 10 minutes walk from King’s Cross. There are also monthly Thursday afternoon meetings for those living further afield, and our active layout groups meet on other days across the week.
Our clubroom has a licenced bar and our library with over 5000 books and periodicals is one of the most extensive of its kind in Europe.
