About this event
In this session Kenneth Browning layout lead for the MRC Modular Project will discuss the advantages of the modular approach and give update on progress. He will be joined by several other project members. The session will be in two parts. The first part will cover the origins and examples of the modular approach and the specifics about the MRC project. Project members will cover their approach and layout designs and demonstrate that anyone no matter their skill level can participate and own part of a large layout. The second half will be a “hands on” session with a number of work in progress boards running trains. There will also be an offer on the night for any member interested to join the group.
This is a hybrid lecture in person at Keen House and on Zoom. There is a bar that is open before, after and in the intermission serving a range of snacks of drinks. Please complete the form to the right to indicate if you’d like to join by Zoom.
MRC members and guests are all welcome. A suggested donation of £3 either in person or on our virtual coffee page
Please note there are stairs to the meeting room – anyone with accessibility needs is asked to contact us in advance.
