Great to see another N gauge layout based on the spectacular former Midland route through Derbyshire. You may be interested to know that the Lincoln model railway club also exhibit an N gauge layout based loosely on the Monsal location – Peakdale – which has been around for a number of years now.
How interesting that you mention The Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in connection with Lacey Dale. Growing up in Old Whittington at a time when the headquarters and terminus of the ‘east to west’ was extant and having Chesterfield as my local town, I have always had an interest in the line. As far as I’m aware, only the late Peter Denny had alluded to it in his Great Central layout, Buckingham, where he had a model of a 0-4-4T running number 17.
